Characteristics
- Leaf: Long, arching, sword-shaped leaves with silvery-gray scales forming a central water-holding rosette
- Flower: Tall pink bract spike with small purple flowers emerging from bracts
- Stem: Short, hidden stem; rosette grows directly from the base
Care Guide
Maintain 2–3 cm of water in the central rosette; keep soil slightly moist
Diluted feed applied directly to the rosette water every 4 weeks. Avoid over-fertilizing to prevent leaf burn and mineral buildup
Banana peel tea:Steep 1 peeled banana in 1L of water for 2 days, strain thoroughly, and dilute 1:2 before adding to the rosette reservoir to avoid nutrient imbalance- Remove browning outer leaves at the base to maintain rosette appearance and improve airflow
- Trim spent flower spikes close to the rosette after blooming to redirect energy to offset pups
- Separate mature 15–20 cm tall offsets in spring for propagation; avoid damaging the parent plant's root system
