Care Guide
Keep soil consistently moist during active growth and blooming; reduce watering as blooms fade
Apply balanced granular fertilizer at corm planting. Avoid high-nitrogen fertilizers to prevent excessive foliage growth at the expense of blooms
Eggshell and banana peel compost tea:Steep fully composted banana peels and crushed eggshells in water for 3 days; dilute 1:20 for root drench to support corm health and blooming- Deadhead spent blooms promptly to encourage extended flowering
- Cut back foliage to 10 cm after it yellows completely in late summer to support corm dormancy
- Lift corms in regions with harsh winters; trim dried foliage and store in a cool, dry location until spring planting
