Care Guide
Keep soil consistently moist but not waterlogged during active growth
Apply diluted balanced bulb feed once when shoots first emerge. Use low-nitrogen, phosphorus-rich feed to support bulb development
Eggshell powder topdressing:Sprinkle 1–2 tablespoons of crushed, dried eggshells around bulb bases in early spring; avoid direct contact with emerging foliage to prevent burning- Remove spent flower stems after blooming to redirect energy to bulb storage
- Allow foliage to die back naturally before trimming to nourish the underground bulb
- Thin overcrowded clumps every 3–4 years in autumn to maintain healthy growth
