- Flower: Umbel of 5–20 star-shaped white flowers with pale greenish-yellow centers
- Bulb: Small ovoid bulbs covered in thin papery brown tunics
Care Guide
Water every 7–10 days during active growth to support bulb and flower development
Apply diluted balanced organic feed once at bulb emergence. Do not over-fertilize, as excess nutrients can reduce flowering in subsequent seasons
Eggshell powder top-dress:Crush dried eggshells into fine powder; sprinkle lightly around the base of plants in early spring; avoid direct contact with foliage to prevent burning- Remove spent flower stalks after blooming to prevent unwanted self-seeding if desired
- Trim yellowing foliage only after it has died back naturally to allow nutrients to return to the bulbs
- Thin overcrowded bulbs every 3–4 years in early spring to maintain plant vigor and flowering
