Water when the top 5–7 cm of soil is fully dry; increase frequency during hot, dry spells

Eggshell powder top dressing:Crush thoroughly dried eggshells into a fine powder; sprinkle lightly on the soil surface, avoiding direct contact with pads to prevent irritation- Remove damaged, diseased, or overgrown pads at the base using sterile, sharp tools
- Trim pads in early spring to maintain desired shape and improve airflow
- Dispose of pruned pads carefully to avoid accidental spine injury
