Water deeply once soil is fully dry; reduce frequency during extreme heat waves
Diluted balanced cactus feed once every 2 months. Cease fertilization during winter dormancy to prevent pad burn
Crushed eggshell topdress:Crush dried eggshells into fine powder; sprinkle 1cm layer on soil surface and water in to release nutrients- Remove damaged, diseased, or overcrowded pads in early spring to improve airflow
- Trim back spreading segments to control plant size and maintain desired shape
- Wear thick gloves to avoid glochid exposure during pruning
