- Stem: Thick, fleshy gray-green trunk with sharp, paired spines along vertical ridges
- Flower: Fragrant white funnel-shaped blooms with yellow centers, reaching up to 10 cm in diameter
Care Guide
Water thoroughly when the top 10–15 cm of soil is completely dry; avoid overwatering to prevent trunk rot
Diluted cactus fertilizer applied once every 4 weeks. Discontinue fertilization during winter dormancy to prevent nutrient buildup
Eggshell powder topdressing:Grind dried, rinsed eggshells into a fine powder; sprinkle lightly on the soil surface, avoiding direct contact with the trunk to prevent irritation- Remove dead, yellowing leaves or spent flower stalks to maintain a tidy appearance
- Trim overgrown top branches in early spring to control plant height and shape
- Cut away any soft, discolored sections of the trunk immediately to stop rot from spreading
