Water thoroughly when soil is completely dry; reduce frequency during extreme heat to avoid sunscald

Dried banana peel tea:Steep dried banana peels in filtered water for 3 days, dilute 1:20 with water, and apply as a root drench to avoid foliar burn- Gently remove dried flower remains and dead spines to maintain a tidy appearance
- Separate offset pups in early spring for propagation; use clean, sharp tools to avoid infection
- Avoid cutting the main stem, as it may scar and reduce the cactus' structural integrity
