Plant Needs
Characteristics
- Leaf: Long, narrow, fleshy green leaves with a gentle downward curve, emerging from the top of the exposed bulb
- Bulb: Pale green, round bulb that grows partially above soil; produces small offset bulblets on thin, dangling stalks
- Flower: Clusters of fragrant, star-shaped white flowers with green central stripes, borne on tall, slender stems
Care Guide
Water thoroughly when soil is fully dry; reduce frequency in high humidity
Diluted low-nitrogen feed once every 2 months. Use a phosphorus-rich diluted fertilizer to support bulb development and flowering
Eggshell powder topdress:Crush fully dried eggshells into a fine powder; sprinkle a thin layer on the soil surface to boost calcium levels for bulb strength, avoiding direct contact with the bulb base- Remove yellow or withered leaves at the base to improve airflow and maintain plant appearance
- Trim spent flower stalks after blooming to redirect energy to bulb and offset growth
- Thin overcrowded offset bulblets to prevent competition for resources; propagate removed offsets for new plants
