Care Guide

Watering

Keep soil consistently moist but not waterlogged; increase frequency during hot, dry spells

Fertilization

Diluted balanced organic fertilizer once monthly. Avoid over-fertilizing to prevent excessive foliage growth at the expense of flowering

Eggshell powder topdress:Crush dry eggshells into fine powder; sprinkle 1–2 tbsp around the base of the shrub and gently work into the topsoil to avoid root burn
Pruning
  • Remove dead, damaged, or diseased branches in late winter before new growth emerges
  • Thin overcrowded stems to improve airflow and light penetration
  • Prune lightly after flowering to maintain desired shape; avoid heavy pruning as it may reduce next year's blooms
