Care Guide
Water deeply 2 times a week, more often during extreme heat or if in containers.
Apply an acid-forming azalea fertilizer immediately after the first spring bloom.. Fertilize sparingly to avoid burning the shallow roots.
Coffee Grounds Soil Amendment:Sprinkle used, cooled coffee grounds lightly around the base of the plant and water in. This adds organic matter and helps maintain the acidic soil pH azaleas love. Avoid thick layers that can mold.- Prune immediately after the heavy spring bloom to shape the plant;
- Avoid pruning in late summer or fall, as this will remove the buds for the next bloom cycle;
- Remove dead, damaged, or diseased wood at any time.
