Care Guide

Watering

Water thoroughly once a week, allowing water to flush through the bark mix.

Fertilization

Apply a balanced orchid fertilizer diluted to 1/4 strength every two weeks.. Flush the pot with plain water once a month to prevent salt buildup from fertilizers.

Banana Peel Tea:Steep chopped banana peels in water for 24-48 hours. Strain the liquid and dilute 1:1 with water. Use this to water the orchid to encourage strong blooming. Discard the solid peels in compost to avoid attracting fruit flies indoors.
Pruning
  • Cut the flower spike down to the base once all blooms have faded and the stem turns brown;
  • Remove any dried, yellowing, or dead leaves gently from the base;
  • Trim dead, papery, or mushy roots during repotting using sterilized shears.
