Characteristics
- Leaves: Evergreen, ovate to elliptical, striking variegation of green, pale yellow, and cream;
- Flowers: Small, fragrant, waxy white with purplish-pink buds, solitary or in small clusters;
- Fruit: Striped green and yellow rind when young, maturing to solid yellow or slightly pinkish; flesh is pale pink, acidic, and tart;
- Stems: Young shoots are often tinged with pink or purple, bearing small thorns.
Care Guide
Water deeply once a week, allowing the topsoil to dry out between waterings.
Apply a nitrogen-rich citrus fertilizer to support new growth and blooms.. Feed regularly during the active growing season.
Coffee Ground & Eggshell Mix:Mix used coffee grounds (for nitrogen and acidity) and crushed, rinsed eggshells (for calcium) into the topsoil. Avoid applying too thickly to prevent mold.- Remove dead, diseased, or crossing branches to improve air circulation;
- Prune off any suckers growing from below the graft union immediately;
- Shape the canopy lightly after the main harvest to maintain a manageable size.
