Characteristics

  • Leaves: Opposite, fleshy, dark green, often covered with fine reddish hairs, ovate to elliptic;
  • Flowers: Solitary or in small clusters, tubular and strongly bilabiate, bright red to orange with yellow throats, resembling leaping goldfish;
  • Stems: Slender, trailing or cascading, reaching up to 90 cm in length, rooting at nodes in high humidity.
