Care Guide

Watering

Water deeply when the top inch of soil feels dry.

Fertilization

Apply a balanced slow-release fertilizer as new growth emerges.. Do not over-fertilize, as this leads to weak, floppy stems.

Banana Peel Tea:Steep chopped banana peels in water for 24-48 hours. Dilute 1:1 with water and apply to the base to support robust flower production. Discard solids in compost.
Pruning
  • Pinch back growing tips in late spring (Chelsea chop) to encourage bushier growth and more flowers;
  • Deadhead spent blooms to prolong the flowering period;
  • Cut stems down to the ground in late autumn or early spring before new growth begins.
