Care Guide
Keep soil consistently moist but not waterlogged during active growth and blooming
Diluted balanced liquid feed once every 2 weeks during active growth. Use a low-nitrogen fertilizer to promote bulb development rather than leaf growth
Eggshell powder topdress:Crush dried eggshells into fine powder; sprinkle 1 teaspoon per bulb in early spring to improve soil calcium levels and reduce blossom end rot risk- Remove spent blooms promptly to prevent seed formation and conserve bulb energy
- Cut back yellowing foliage only after it has fully died back (6–8 weeks post-bloom) to allow nutrient transfer to the bulb
- Dig up and divide overcrowded bulbs every 3–4 years in late summer to maintain blooming vigor
