Characteristics
- Leaf: Fleshy, obovate to spoon-shaped leaves with reddish margins; arranged in opposite pairs
- Flower: Tubular, pale yellow to cream flowers in terminal clusters
- Stem: Thick, succulent stems with brownish, peeling bark as the plant matures
Care Guide
Water when the top 2–3 cm of soil is completely dry; reduce frequency in high humidity
Apply diluted balanced succulent fertilizer once monthly. Do not fertilize in autumn or winter when the plant is dormant
Eggshell powder top dressing:Crush dried, rinsed eggshells into a fine powder; sprinkle lightly on the soil surface, avoiding direct contact with the plant's stems to prevent irritation- Remove leggy stems in early spring to maintain a compact, bushy shape
- Trim spent flower stalks after blooming to redirect energy to new foliage growth
- Gently pluck dead or yellowing leaves at the base to prevent pest infestations and improve airflow
