Care Guide

Watering

Water thoroughly, allowing the water to drain completely, then wait until the soil is entirely dry before watering again.

Fertilization

Apply a diluted, balanced fertilizer once at the beginning of the growing season.. Requires very little feeding; over-fertilizing can cause weak, stretched growth.

Banana Peel Tea:Soak chopped banana peels in water for 24 hours, strain, and dilute 1:1 with water. Use this liquid to water the plant. Discard the solid peels in the compost to avoid attracting fungus gnats or causing mold on the soil surface.
Pruning
  • Remove dead or shriveled leaves at the base of the plant using sterile tweezers;
  • Prune back leggy stems in spring to encourage a bushier, more compact growth habit;
  • Fallen healthy leaves can be left on the soil surface as they often root and propagate naturally.
