Care Guide

Watering

Keep soil evenly moist, water deeply when the top 2 cm of soil feels dry to the touch

Fertilization

Apply balanced liquid fertilizer every 2 weeks to support vegetative growth. Avoid over-fertilizing to prevent leaf tip burn and nutrient buildup

Banana peel compost tea:Compost banana peels for 2–3 weeks, steep in water for 3 days, dilute 1:20 with water for root drenching to support fruiting and leaf health
Pruning
  • Remove yellowing or dead leaves regularly to improve airflow and reduce pest and disease risk
  • Trim spent flower stalks after fruit harvest to redirect energy to new pseudostem growth
  • Cut back old, fruited pseudostems to ground level in early spring to encourage new shoots
