Characteristics
- Leaves: Glossy, heart-shaped (cordate) leaves, typically 5-10 cm long, emerging bronze and turning deep green;
- Stems: Slender, trailing or climbing vines with aerial roots at the nodes;
- Flowers: Spathe is green to white, enclosing a white spadix, though rarely seen in cultivation.
Care Guide
Water thoroughly when the top inch of soil is dry.
Apply a balanced liquid fertilizer diluted to half strength.. Feed monthly during the growing season; pause in winter.
Banana Peel Tea:Soak chopped banana peels in water for 24-48 hours. Strain and use the liquid to water the plant. Discard peels in compost to avoid attracting gnats.- Pinch back growing tips to encourage bushier growth;
- Remove any yellowing or dead leaves at the base of the stem;
- Propagate healthy stem cuttings in water or moist soil.

Warning: this plant may be toxic.
Pets: Toxic (per ASPCA): Oral irritation, intense burning and irritation of mouth, tongue and lips, excessive drooling, vomiting, difficulty swallowing.
Humans: Contains insoluble calcium oxalate crystals; ingestion causes oral irritation, swelling, and gastrointestinal discomfort.
