- Leaf: Long, rigid sword-shaped leaves with smooth, spineless margins; blue-green to dark green, arranged in dense rosettes at stem tips
- Flower: Creamy white, bell-shaped blooms in upright, 1 m tall panicles
- Stem: Thick, woody trunk with peeling brown bark; branching may develop with maturity
Care Guide
Water deeply when top 5–7 cm of soil is dry; reduce frequency during extreme heat to avoid sunscald
Apply diluted balanced liquid fertilizer once monthly. Avoid fertilizing during dormant winter months
Eggshell powder top dressing:Crush dried eggshells to a fine powder; sprinkle 1–2 tbsp around the base of the plant; water lightly to integrate the powder into the topsoil- Remove brown, dead leaves from the base of rosettes to maintain a tidy appearance and improve airflow
- Trim spent flower stalks at the base after blooming to redirect energy to foliage growth
- Cut back overgrown stems in early spring to control size and encourage branching
