Care Guide

Watering

Water deeply once the topsoil dries out, ensuring excess water drains away.

Fertilization

Apply a nitrogen-rich or citrus-specific fertilizer to support new foliage and blooms.. Feed regularly during the active growing season; withhold fertilizer during winter dormancy.

Coffee Grounds and Eggshell Mix:Mix used, cooled coffee grounds with crushed, dried eggshells and lightly scratch into the topsoil. This provides a gentle nitrogen boost and maintains the slight acidity citrus plants love. Avoid applying in thick layers to prevent mold.
Pruning
  • Prune in late winter or early spring before the new flush of growth begins;
  • Remove any dead, diseased, or crossing branches to improve air circulation;
  • Pinch back vigorous shoots to maintain a compact, bushy shape suitable for containers;
  • Remove any suckers growing from below the graft union (if grafted).
