- Fruit: Oval drupe (olive), green when unripe, purplish-black when mature
- Stem/Bark: Gray-brown, fissured bark on mature trees; slender, branching stems on young plants
Care Guide
Keep soil consistently moist but not waterlogged; increase frequency during hot, dry spells
Diluted balanced fertilizer every 4 weeks. Reduce fertilization in autumn and winter; avoid high-nitrogen fertilizers which promote foliage over fruiting

- Trim potted dwarf specimens to maintain desired compact shape; avoid heavy pruning during active growing seasons
- Remove suckers from the base to focus energy on the main trunk or selected branches
