Characteristics
- Leaf: Thick, rigid upright leaves with dark green base and pale green variegated edges; pointed, stiff tips
- Stem: Short underground rhizome; no visible aboveground stem
- Flower: Creamy white tubular blooms on tall, slender spikes (rarely produced indoors)
Care Guide
Water when the top 5–7 cm of soil is fully dry; avoid overwatering to prevent rhizome rot
