Characteristics
- Leaf: Rigid, narrow, twisted blue-green leaves with sharp terminal spines; 30–60 cm long
- Flower: Creamy white, bell-shaped blooms clustered on 1.2–1.8 m tall upright spikes
- Stem: Short, woody caudex; rarely produces branched stems
Care Guide
Water deeply when the top 10–15 cm of soil is completely dry
Apply a diluted low-nitrogen balanced fertilizer once. Do not fertilize during winter dormancy to prevent root burn
Eggshell powder topdressing:Crush dried, rinsed eggshells into a fine powder; sprinkle lightly on the soil surface around the rosette; avoid direct contact with leaves to prevent irritation- Remove dead, brown, or damaged leaves at the base of the rosette to maintain a tidy appearance
- Cut spent flower spikes to the base after blooming to redirect energy to foliage growth
- Trim overcrowded offsets in spring to propagate new plants or reduce rosette density
