Care Guide

Watering

Deep watering 1-2 times a week depending on heat and rainfall.

Fertilization

Apply a high-nitrogen citrus-specific fertilizer as new growth appears.. Citrus trees are heavy feeders; ensure adequate nitrogen, magnesium, and iron.

Coffee Grounds & Eggshell Mix:Mix used coffee grounds and crushed, dried eggshells into the topsoil to provide nitrogen and calcium. Avoid applying too close to the trunk to prevent rot, and do not over-apply to avoid excessive acidity.
Pruning
  • Prune in late winter or early spring before the main flush of new growth;
  • Remove any dead, diseased, or crossing branches to improve air circulation;
  • Cut away suckers growing from the base or below the graft union immediately;
  • Thin out the canopy to allow sunlight to reach the inner branches for better fruit ripening.
