Characteristics
- Leaf: Thick, fleshy sword-shaped leaves with frosty silvery-blue variegation and sharp terminal spines
- Rosette: Symmetrical basal rosette of overlapping, rigid leaves
- Inflorescence: Tall branched flower stalk (up to 6 m) bearing yellow-green flowers (rarely produced in cultivation)
Care Guide
Water once every 3–4 weeks when soil is fully dry
Diluted low-nitrogen feed once every 2 months. Do not fertilize in winter, as the plant is dormant and does not require additional nutrients
Eggshell powder topdress:Crush dried eggshells into a fine powder; sprinkle lightly on the soil surface, avoiding direct contact with leaves to prevent irritation- Trim dead, brown leaf tips with clean, sharp shears to maintain a neat appearance
- Remove offset pups (baby plants) in spring for propagation, leaving a small portion of the parent root attached
- Cut back the spent flower stalk after blooming, as the parent plant will die following flowering

Humans: Contains saponins and calcium oxalate crystals; ingestion causes mild oral irritation, and sap may cause skin redness or rash on contact
