Characteristics
- Leaf: Thick, fleshy triangular leaves with sharp terminal spines; blue-green to gray-green foliage with white marginal teeth
- Stem: Short underground caudex; no visible aboveground stem
- Inflorescence: Tall branched spike bearing clusters of yellow tubular flowers (blooms once at maturity)
Care Guide
Water deeply once every 10–14 days; let soil dry fully between waterings
Diluted low-nitrogen feed once every 60 days. Avoid over-fertilizing to prevent soft, weak leaf growth
Eggshell powder topdress:Crush dried eggshells into fine powder; sprinkle lightly on soil surface; water in to release nutrients; avoid overapplication to prevent pH imbalance- Trim brown, dried leaf tips with clean, sharp shears to maintain rosette appearance
- Remove dead outer leaves to improve airflow and reduce pest habitat
- Cut back the spent flower stalk after blooming (the parent plant will die post-flowering)
