Characteristics
- Leaf: Thick, fleshy lanceolate leaves with smooth margins, lacking the sharp terminal spine of most agave species
- Flower: Tall, upright spike (3–4 m tall) bearing clusters of tubular yellow flowers
- Stem: Short, underground root crown supporting the tight leaf rosette
Care Guide
Water once every 2–3 weeks when soil is fully dry
Diluted balanced succulent feed once every 2 months. Discontinue fertilization in autumn and winter when growth slows
Eggshell powder topdress:Sprinkle a thin layer of crushed, dried eggshell powder on the soil surface; avoid direct contact with leaves to prevent tissue damage- Remove dead, brown outer leaves at the base to maintain a tidy rosette shape
- Cut the spent flower spike close to the rosette after blooming, as the parent plant will die post-flowering
- Trim damaged or discolored leaves to reduce pest and disease risk
