Characteristics
- Leaf: Rigid, sword-shaped grey-green leaves with sharp 3 cm terminal spines
- Flower: Tall, branched inflorescence bearing yellow, bell-shaped blooms
- Stem: Short, condensed basal stem hidden beneath the leaf rosette
Care Guide
Water deeply once every 2–3 weeks when soil is fully dry
Diluted cactus fertilizer once every 2 months. Avoid over-fertilizing to prevent soft, weak growth that is prone to damage
Eggshell powder top-dressing:Crush fully dried eggshells into fine powder; sprinkle 1–2 tbsp around the rosette base, avoiding direct leaf contact to prevent burn- Remove dead, brown leaves from the base to improve airflow and reduce pest habitat
- Trim the tall spent flower stalk after blooming, as the parent plant will die post-flowering
- Harvest offshoots (pups) in spring for propagation by separating them from the parent rosette
